For Soldiers is
not pro-war. It is not anti-war. This project has no political position or
agenda. This album is a compilation of
twelve inspiring songs created by artist Rockie Lynne to serve as a musical
tribute to the men and women who bravely defend our country. The underlying message is to simply proclaim
that we as Americans support our soldiers.
We stand behind the members of our Armed Forces and we recognize their
sacrifice, duty, honor and commitment to our nation.
Rockie Lynne is a veteran of the United States Army and originally created this album to give away to the troops he visited during his tour of overseas military bases. Upon his return, the demand for the project became clear through the volume of inquires to his website. The decision was made to release the record commercially to benefit troop charities. A full third of the profits will go directly to help these men and women in need.
The album contains eight original compositions and six familiar standards, including an instrumental medley featuring 2010 Grammy Award winning artist and guitar player Steve Wariner.
